1. What AvenidaCuba is

AvenidaCuba (avenidacuba.com) is a place where customers and business owners meet, in Cuba and anywhere else businesses are listed. We provide all the information needed (phone, WhatsApp, address, social media) so that they can deal with each other directly. AvenidaCuba does not sell the businesses’ products or services, does not manage them and does not take part in their sales.

By using the site or creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• The information you give must be true. You look after your password and are responsible for what is done with your account.
• You can delete your account whenever you want from «My account».
• We can suspend or close an account that does not follow these terms.

3. What is not allowed

• Posting false information, or a business that does not exist or is not yours.
• Writing fake reviews, reviewing your own business or paying for reviews.
• Insulting, threatening or harassing other people.
• Posting spam, misleading advertising or photos that do not belong to the business.
• Posting or selling weapons, or anything related to them (ammunition, explosives, parts or accessories), or anything whose sale is illegal. AvenidaCuba decides case by case what falls under this rule: for example, a set of kitchen knives is allowed.

We can remove any content, product or business that we consider illegal or inappropriate.

4. Reviews and replies

Whoever writes a review, or a business’s reply, is responsible for what it says. Anyone with an account can report a review, a reply or a business. We review the reports and can hide whatever does not follow these rules.

5. Businesses

• The owner is responsible for the business’s information, prices, products and services, and orders.
• A new business is published after we review it. We can unpublish it if it does not follow these terms.
• The owner keeps the rights to their photos and texts, and gives us permission to show them on AvenidaCuba while the business is published.

6. The «Verified» badge

It only means that we checked that the business exists and that whoever runs it is its owner or manager. It is not a guarantee of quality, honesty or that the business is legally registered. The badge is lost if certain business details change, and we can remove it at any time.

7. Deals between customers and businesses

AvenidaCuba is not responsible for the quality of the businesses’ products or services, nor for the honesty, reliability or conduct of their owners. Any deal, order, payment, delivery or claim is between the customer and the business. The order summaries created on the site are an aid for the order: AvenidaCuba does not charge for them or guarantee them. If you have a problem with a business, you can report it and we will review it.

8. Plans and payments

• Listing a business is free. The Premium plan adds features; what it includes and how much it costs is on the Plans page.
• Each account can try Premium for free only once, for 30 days, on one of its businesses.
• Paid Premium lasts the period you chose (monthly or yearly). When it expires, you have a 3 days grace period to renew; after that the business moves to free. Nothing you added is lost: it stays saved and shows again when you renew.
• Refunds:
  • The full payment is refunded if you paid and your Premium has not been activated yet.
  • If you paid twice for the same thing, the repeated payment is refunded. If you were overcharged, the difference is refunded.
  • Once Premium is active there is no refund, even if you stop using it. If you cancel it, it stays active until it expires and the unused part is not refunded.
  • Refunds are requested from Contact us, within 30 days of the charge, and are returned through the same payment method when possible.
• If the site stops working for several days because of a failure on our side, we make up for it with extra days of Premium.

9. Liability

The site is offered as is. We do our best for it to work well, but we do not guarantee that it is always available or free of errors, and we are not responsible for the information that businesses publish or for the deals between people.

10. Changes

We can change these terms. The «Last updated» date says when. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
